That's where this beautiful workout gear from Pink Soda comes in - now, I'm not saying that depression can be cured by buying new things (I bet we've all tried it though, right?) but something that really helps me is being surrounded by beautiful things that I can appreciate, even on my darkest days. Yoga is something that is very special to me and I don't know how I'd have recovered from my eating disorder without it, so I don't mind investing a bit of money into it. I have the most gorgeous yoga mat which I always leave unrolled in the corner of my living room, and it brightens my day a bit whenever I see it. My yoga mat is my safe place, the only place where the negative thoughts about my body disappear and my mood lifts. The clothes I practise yoga in also help me a great deal, so I love finding pretty workout gear to help motivate me. Pink Soda make practical yet super aesthetically pleasing workout clothes, and I was lucky enough to be gifted a few pieces to share with you all - the Reversible Snake Sports Bra, Snake Panel Leggings and Snake Vest.
I'll be completely honest, at first glance I probably wouldn't have picked them out myself (I'm not a massive fan of snakeskin prints) but after trying them on I fell in love. The leggings fit perfectly (I'm a size 8 and all the items are true to size), and they're nice and thick without being too stifling. The material is sweat-wicking so it keeps me cool and dry, even during a long power yoga session. They also make your legs look pretty great, which is always a bonus! I love how well the sports bra matches the leggings, and it's reversible so if you get bored you can switch things up. It's also supportive without being too restrictive, so you could wear it all day long without any discomfort if you wanted too! The vest is fairly loose so you won't get sweaty while working out, and it features a cute silver foil Pink Soda logo - the whole collection is designed with fashion conscious girls in mind, and the pieces are all incredibly durable. The prices are pretty reasonable too - £20 for a sports bra and £30 for leggings is good value, especially because you can tell they'll last for a long time. Basically, I'm now in love with this brand and whether you're a gym bunny or a yogi I'm sure you'll love their clothes too!
Disclaimer: I was sent some workout clothes by Pink Soda in order to review them but, as always, all opinions are my own.
