Cherry Banana Ice Cream

Banana ice cream is definitely one of my favourite breakfasts and I'll probably still be eating it in the middle of December when it's absolutely freezing! It's ridiculously versatile and there are so many different flavours you can add to it; one of my recent discoveries is cherry banana ice cream - it's super refreshing and fruity, and if you pair it with cacao banana ice cream you'll have a match made in heaven!

Serves 1
  • ripe frozen bananas (peel and chop them before freezing)
  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • up to 1/4 cup non-dairy milk or water*

* you may be able to use no liquid at all if you have a strong food processor

Put the frozen banana chunks into your food processor then add the non-dairy milk or water (if using) and blend the bananas until they're a smooth and creamy consistency (it usually takes 8 - 10 minutes for me). You may need to stop the food processor every minute or so to make sure the motor doesn't overheat and to break the banana up a bit with a spoon to ensure it blends properly. Once it's ready add the frozen cherries and blend again until smooth, then transfer it into a bowl and enjoy!

  1. I haven't eat banana ice cream in a long time, thanks for sharing this recipe! :)

    1. I don't think I'll be eating it again for a few months, the weather is too cold right now haha! Aww, you're very welcome :) xxx
